Best and Worst Disney "Classic" Animated Movies
Just having watched Disney’s Cinderella I wanted to know everyone’s top five (in ranking order) considers the best Disney’s “Classicâ€
I know you believe you understand what you think I said.
But I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Re: Best and Worst Disney "Classic" Animated Movie
top five:
The Aristocats
The Rescuers
The Fox and the Hound
Peter Pan
Lady and the Tramp
Have to mention:
Alice in Wonderland
Aladdin
The Lion King
Robin Hood
bottom five:
...wouldn't know, didn't see them all, but, from the ones I did see:
Cinderella
Sleeping Beauty
(maybe it's the style, I don't know... but those are the ones I would never see again)
And, without doubt,
Mary Poppins (that's a classic, isn't it? - I know, not animated, but I have to mention it as the worst movie ever)
The Aristocats
The Rescuers
The Fox and the Hound
Peter Pan
Lady and the Tramp
Have to mention:
Alice in Wonderland
Aladdin
The Lion King
Robin Hood

@Wisq: Word. Not a big fan of them either, and the more I know about them, the less I like them: massive animation staff layoffs, unequal opportunity employers, etc. I'm also using 'best' in a 'hated less' sort of way.
No sense in denying that as animators they did have game, but I am considerably more impressed by modern animé nowadays, specially after watching the likes of Mononoke and GitS. Funny how the japanese see animation as an art form that can be used as a channel for many different kinds of message, while the western view considers it to be a kiddie thing, which seems to be Disney's position (I have reportedly fallen asleep during one of their movies.) When I have kids, I'm taking them to Pixar films instead. Their movies seem to acknowledge the existence of adults, at least to some extent. And now that they're free from Disney's ties, what can we expect from them?
@mkruer: I remember when I first watched Fantasia (the original), there was this kid in the audience who, halfway through the Rites of Spring, asked the author of his days: "mom, when's the movie going to start?"
