Thanks. I got a glimpse of the SVN Version, I love all the added features. I know the answer is there somewhere. If I can get it to go to full screen, and get the graphics to where it is in the stable version, I'm set. I did start with set up and for some reason, it still won't go to full screen.

hmm the full screen option now that i think about it is kinda hidden its controlled by the same drop down as color settings so changing that to 32bit color fullscreen or 16bit color fullscreen should solve that issue

We must be on the same wavelength. I discovered that and it worked. I'm sure I just have to tweak more settings to get the graphics right.

Thanks a lot, and to everyone else for your help, I'm so excited to finally get to enjoy all the benefits this game has to offer.

Just one quick question, I noticed a kind of red/orange exclamation point on my data folder, was is that? And is there something I need to do to get back the green check?

Thanks again,

Knight

Was that file the config file as it will be changed when you pick any option that is different from the default one  that's what that icon on the file means that it has changed from the check-out so will conflict when you update the simplest solution is to move it out of the way and a fresh copy will be downloaded there are often tweaks to that file one of the reasons i recommended using svn's export function to make a playing copy

Enjoy the Choice :)

It was the config file. So do I just leave it with the changes?

Yes till you do an update at that point move it out of the way or just delete it so there is no conflict move it out of the way if you have done some custom bindings so editing the new version is just copy/paste of the relevant section.

I just wanted to say I am enjoying the SVN Choice, I got everything working right except one problem. In the stable version, I have shaders at Nicest Shader with Extreme Detail which my system can handle nicely. In the stable version the Planet Atlantis has a nice beautiful hue to it, in the SVN Version I'm seeing like a white ring around the planet. I have the same settings in the SVN Version. Is there something I need to tweak to get that hue I have in the stable version?

I have Nvidia Geforce 9800 GT.

Thanks,

Knight

I think it has to do with the texture file renames--anything white is usually because a texture wasn't found.

If possible just delete/revert everything in your ".vegastrike" (except for save and serialized_xml of course unless you want to delete your saved games) The .vegastrike folder is inside of the subversion checkout on Windows; and it is in your home directory on Linux/Mac.

Wow, you have the same card. That's great. When I got mine, it sent my graphics experience to another whole level.

I tried deleting and I'm still getting the white ring around Atlantis.

Ok i have just built the svn version :D And yes i see that ring it is supposed to be the atmosphere but the shader needs tweaking time to call the starchaser after a few screenshots as examples of course so he can figure out what is should be doing.

Can you check the beginning of the log files for info on whether the shaders are compiling because if they aren't that's our starting point :D

Since it is Vista try where your saves are or use the old find function the file names are stdout.txt and stderr.txt on XP they where in the bin folder with the executables and dlls.

I thought that was it. I have those file names and looked at them. I couldn't find anything that mentioned anything about compiling shaders.

I probably was reading my files wrong. I wonder what's causing the problem? There's got to be an answer. I just thougt of something. The shaders did compile correctly in the stable version. The clue has to be between the two.

There where some changes in the underlying code that displays things adding capabilities that aren't used yet so it may be related.
