It's been a long time since I've last played Vega Strike, and seeing there hasn't been a new official release for a long time, I thought to try out the cutting edge version.
I remember the CVS/SVN version was "broken" or unbalanced a while ago and it wasn't generally recommended, although it had loads of juicy improvements which made me try it out anyway.
How's the SVN version today? Can it be considered being "playable"? Are there any snapshots deemed as stable lying around anywhere?
How playable is the current development version?

In SVN, playablility is generally a bigger issue than stability.
And you're right about the juicy goodies. The Rebalance is more complete than it was a while ago, but it's still not completely finished.
Talk about cutting edge.. you can even check out data5.x (ogre_branch) and try to get klauss's OGRE system explorer to work. (I never did though.)

But instead of checking out data4.x, you check out data5.x.
