It should be possible to see inside the game what the keybindings are.
The wiki is not usable because not up to date and always look in the config files for that is unergonomic.
Just hit a help key (in normal games it is F1) and show the key bindings. Maybe we can use ESC for that?

Re: [FeatureRequest] show key bindings
Seeing actual key bindings ingame, read directly from config would be very useful.
It should be possible to do that as this is an own code snippet that displays the QUIT sprite when ESC is hit.

Re: [FeatureRequest] show key bindings
There has been discussion on splitting out user settings from the config file which should make doing this simpler to implement.

Re: [FeatureRequest] show key bindings
On a further note, if there were to be a "settings" type of screen (of which we have nothing yet), how would be the best way to access it?
In flight, maybe a key (navMap/shift-M? escape?)
When docked, should it be yet another button on the Save/Load menu?
What do you think?
Also, allowing you to change settings or rebind a key in-game is already possible in theory, but there is no way to save those changes (they will go away the next time you start VS), so it would probably do more harm than good to allow temporary changes to settings...

Re: [FeatureRequest] show key bindings
the best way for acces to the key binding steting IMO is in flight by escape = quit? continue? or Setting?
and in setting part key bindings part
and it will be best like a plane simulation like that you can test straight the way ur changement...

yep, we should try to avoid VS' idiosyncratic UI stuff and just put it in the escape menu like the other 99% of games.

Re: [FeatureRequest] show key bindings
I agree, add a Configuration module to the main menu. While we are on it, I would prefer that if I want to escape the current game, I could get to the same main menu instead of going straight to the desktop and have to restart the game.

Yes the settings should be accessed from the main menu as rivalin said make it like most games.
