Planetengine: Ground Objects

Post by strook »

i could implement an animation system for legs in order to implement mech like units on ground.

maybe i should focus on that first, i think log0 does excelent work with the rendered planets and needs no help with this.

maybe i could implement modules for the planetrenderer, that puts some ground stuff on it like citys and so on...

it would be plenty of fun roaming about in a mech now and then. It would also be fun walking around the ships. But we also need to get a "get out" key in, cause at the moment the only way to get out is in the escapepod.

Yeah!

If you can have players go from planet to planet and walk around smashing up suburbs in a renegade walker machine, then I think we've got a winner!
Good idea! :D

ok... i'll install the latest sources on my system now...
i'll start with the animation stuff.
we may only use free mechs cause there is a copyright on the original ones.

where was the gravity code? or is it already implemented?

i got an half animated mech in 3dsmax now.
