[4.3.0 sources ?] I'd like to compile on Archlinux.

Trying to build your own version of Vega Strike and having problems? Unix users, paste your config.log here (stderr output alone is not helpful).

[4.3.0 sources ?] I'd like to compile on Archlinux.

Post by Melodie »

Hello, I have downloaded and tried to compile a pair weeks ago, and it was failing. I might have missed something, maybe a bootstrap.sh or whatsoever. I had not read enough on the site.

I tried again just today, but it happens to be a .bz2.run, so it installs by itself.

I'd like to compile it by hand, in order to get a PKGBUILD done, afterwards. (It's a script that allows downloading, checking dependencies... and compiling automatically with makepkg tool). So I'm looking for a source package of the stable version, that could be used currently by all. Could someone tell me if the sources are available ?

In the meanwhile, I'm ready to try again, with the SVN version, but there something is missing : the music directory in the trunk.

http://vegastrike.sourceforge.net/wiki/ ... d-line_svn
https://vegastrike.svn.sourceforge.net/ ... ike/trunk/

No music directory there... :?:
Thanks for all help coming.

we strongly recommend using the svn since 0.4.3 is just so old...

as for the music dir--someone already moved it inside data4.x -- so it's all set for you

Well, I'm an impaired compiling user too ! :D

I'll try to do my best, and will go to the bug thread, or user help forum according how I feel more appropriate.

Can't promice to be able to distinguish which types are the bugs I might (will ?) encounter though.

Best regards, and good night.

Hello,
The compile has been ok for me on three revisions, finishing with the 11422. But with the PKGBUILD script, that's not the same. :)

I start a new thread.
