Hi,
I've successfully compiled and run vegastrike 4.1 on my debian linux box. I'd like compile a debian package rather than my /usr/local/ install.
It's not building for me.
I've logged a bug with debian.
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=216334
But I've not had a response as yet. Anyone been successful in building this as a debian package?
Some projects have a debian directory in the CVS tree. I haven't checked but it's be nice if it existed. A small grumble was that the debian maintainer has written patches that apply against seperate tar.gz files of seperated vegastrike, data and music packages. I alread had the official vegastrike.sh distribution and ended up needing to download the debian source code as well because I couldn't apply the patches!!

hmm I hope mike furr can take care of it
VS is extremely picky about which compiler you have--some have internal compiler errors in this module--some in that
some have internal compiler errors when compiling with -O3 some with -O anything
and somehow the configure.in and autoconf stuff is really hard to get right everywhere
lets hope mike furr can get it right for all of debian
