About the branches directory in SVN repository

Post by Voronwe »

Good morning, I subscribed the RSS feed for the SVN version and I've seen that the last weeks updates are about a directory that is not said to be downloaded in this guide, the "https://vegastrike.svn.sourceforge.net/ ... ches/audio" directory. What about it? I've got a lot of issues with audio in VegaStrike and I hope that this thing could fix my problems.

Thanks a lot for your attention and help.

That is a branch that klauss is working on ATM and has not been merged with the main trunk yet as it is not ready for general usage when it is it will be merged with the main branch, there are a couple other branches as well but they are not very active ATM.Now what audio issues are you having lets see if we can mitigate them till this branch is stable.

Enjoy the Chioce :)

Thanks for the answer :D

I've got many and many crashes of VegaStrike with some sound effects, like the shift+N or the G effect... I tried to compile VS many times but any time the same problem... I tried to switch from PulseAudio to ALSA Mixer, it's better than before, but still very crashy... running Ubuntu Jaunty Jackalope.

Then start a new thread in the Help section with the output from starting it in a terminal with

Code: Select all

vegastrike 2>vserr 1>vsout
or

Code: Select all

./vegastrike 2>vserr 1>vsout
from the folder where the binary is if you are running in userland.

Enjoy the Choice :)
