Trying to build your own version of Vega Strike and having problems? Unix users, paste your config.log here (stderr output alone is not helpful).

[Solved] Sound but no music. 11809. Ubuntu 7.10, amd64

Post by kbitz »

Hi.

I have sound but no music in SVN (rev. 11809) compiled under Ubuntu 7.10 running x86_64.

Will attach config.log.

Thanks,

kbitz

EDIT: Solved. While I was compiling, it told me I lacked some vorbis lib or other. I installed the lib and started the compile over and it finished without incident. I just realized I had neglected to rerun configure first. Redid config, ran make clean followed by make vegastrike and make vssetup fixed everything.

OT: Some of the music seems to be new. Is there a vegastrike composer, or is it all freely-licensed music that was incorporated?

Also, the music sounds a _little_ bit choppy here and there. I imagine I can figure that out on my own, but if anyone has any ideas, that would be cool.
