Hi! I'm shatner and I am currently an animation student (Middle/Secondary school course. I actually won an award for best animation student last year) and I am very much interested in the ships you are designing. What program(s) do you use to make and animate them? Maybe some day I could offer some help with the game developments.
And also, why is it that most of the ships have no picture? Have they even been designed yet?

welcome shatner most of the modelers use Open Source tools as they are free and they are usually available for all the OS's we support (Windows,Linux and Mac OSX).
Blender is at the top of the list, then Wings 3D,Misfit Modeler 3D and K3D just Google them up and pick one you like our all of them if you have the hard drive space Blender's user interface is tricky to learn but is the most powerful. For slapping textures onto the models PhotoShop if you can afford it or The Gimp(graphical image manipulator program)which is an other Open Source program. The game engine does not support real animations yet but it is on the road map for the future. As for no pictures of all the ships just to many of them to get screen shot of each(some are camera shy and shot things at you if you get close enough to take that screen shot )have fun with the game and if you have more questions just post in the appropriate sub-forum.
Enjoy the Choice

Edit: Selling the Blender Manual is the project's major source of funds to pay for there bandwidth and domain names etc.
