First Changes

Here is a collection of my first changes I've made for fun.
added some pics for upgrades(most pics are stolen)
added some new upgrades
changed some units
changed some upgrades
tried to balance some things

don't forget to make a copy of your current files!

I think the old armor settings aren't good, because polyduranium is way too cheap and there's some sort of a "hole" between polysteel and polyduranium:
second best armor has a value of 200 and best one has 1000

Interesting. So is this an 'enhancement' mod for 0.4.3?

I'm just assuming you're running the old release since this is your first post (and it's not common in my experience for people to go off and grab the SVN on their own)

If you like tinkering with the VS data, I think there's work to be done dataside in SVN right now if you're interested. The whole data set has changed so much in the years since 0.4.3 that most of the changes in a patch for 0.4.3 would probably not apply, but please feel free to poke around in the development version.

JackS or dandandaman should know what needs to be done before the 0.5.x release next month.

I was currently working on some quests with upgrades as reward, but all the upgrades applied only after restarting vegastrike...

I think I should check better the new version first.

You need to call
myunit.RecomputeUnitUpgrades()
to have the upgrades take effect immediately.
