And plans for this? Well, with its low poly count, I think it would be possible to link a dozen or more of these things and create a proper shipyard. Imagine dogfighting amidst a forest of this things.. 8)

Feel free to incorporate this as the docking points of your station models, tho it would also work alone. This is actually my own small contribution to the plans of modularizing stations.

An explanation of the structure itself. Ships enter through the forward ramps and scannd or something by the three towers then proceed to the tractor grid (the green lines on the inside of the harbor). which would look nicer with targetted animation. The capship stays locked in place until the grids are turned off. Meanwhile pinnaces and small ships can travel between the station and teh capship.

This is not a bulk unloading station but more of a stopping place for repairs and minor cargo transfers of the larger ships. The standard dock points for the ships that wouldn't fit in smaller docks.

it also sports 5 small docks (four at the control, one at side) and 1 medium dock (at control). teh four small and the medium dock is visible here. those small ships docking are hyenas.

Would look much better once ogre falls thru, and it becomes animated with skeletons. ...ahh dreaming again. 8)

The rarred files here (Haven't tested it yet, don;t know how to test stations, if you test it please post screenies here).

Includes all things needed ingame except a csv unit entry.

I think that a good reflection map could fix all detail problems there.

I have to admit, I'd like to park my Ox there for sometime... :)

Size does make a difference. IT definitely is not too small. But which faction is the primary audience? I would think that it should be designed with the size of their largest ship in mind. I saw a picture representing the comparative sizes of ships recently, and the aeran ships were huge, but most of the human based ones were not quite as big. So if this is to be a human-ship based station, make it so the size works out for their ships.
