Zeog wrote:Your third picture looks strange. The Clydesdale is much too small compared to the station. It is supposed to be some kilometers long. Did you take into account that all the units models are differently scaled in game. You can find the scaling factors are in the "units/units.csv" file.
Scaling factor for Clydesdale: 9.44
Scaling factor for fighter Barracks: 3
Thanks, I guess that's why the Llama was showing up at about 1/2 the size of the Dost.. :P

Scaled everything I had extracted to the values in the csv. That Clyde just completely dwarfs everything else now..

I think that now it's ok.

Cockroach can you give me exact measures of this ship? I mean: how long in meters is this ship if a mule is 191,7 meters long and a clydesdale is 2441,66 meters long?
If you can't just give me a good side screenshot of the military version (ship launcher side) with another ship as reference and I'll calculate measures by myself.

I need measures becuase I have 2 or 3 little things to add to this ship and I need to... think in meters :D

Personally, I think CoD's ship idea should be a bit bigger, say 1/4 of the clyde.

Cockroach, plan on texturing this? If yes, please texture it in gray tones, or slate. Colors will be added later.

I'm guessing roughly 350-400m:

I have no way of really doing it. Are you still up to it?

Yeah, sure. I'm a bit busy atm, but. Well, just post the zip or rar of the .3ds mesh of the ship here. I could use some practice with what I learned from perusing the current models. :D

btw i still think it's too small. It's a carrier, leave leeway for erratic entry etc. Meaning the hangar itself should be really vast (not just big enough for a ship to squeeze into); the openings adequately large yet sealable to accomodate unconventional landings or fast launch.
