I've added some blinking lights to my trek ships, and they really add a lot.
It's not so hard to do it yourself. Just make three perpendicular squares, map a blinking circle texture to them... place them around your ship model in wings3d. combine them into a single mesh. export it, and set the mesh blend equal to ONE ONE, and you've got it.
The blink animation I did has the blink come on fast, and slowly shrink/fade. It looked way cool.
