Hi guys.
I always wanted to contribute to Vegastrike but I lack the programming skills and the artistic skills. Nontheless I made a model of a Transporter. It's inpiried by a turtle (a bit like the one from Pratched).
C&C welcome.

I like it. Looks like it would fly like a turtle as well.
This is a good start, but it's probably too low-poly to be accepted into Vega Strike proper. Feel free to add it to your local copy of the game if you want.
(I do this sometimes for fun and practice- past escapades have included a bizzare capship, a 50's-style rocket ship, and a spaceballs-esque volvo.)

Nice start! I can't wait until you finish it up.
Here's a tool that generates metal hull textures:

Here are two pages with texturing tips for Vega Strike:

Hey... that bizarre capship has a very neat design.Halleck wrote:(I do this sometimes for fun and practice- past escapades have included a bizzare capship, a 50's-style rocket ship, and a spaceballs-esque volvo.)
Who knows... perhaps it can serve as concept art for somebody to do a proper model?
