Whatever happened to a new logo?

People put forward their proposals and this seems to have ended there.

Can we either have a vote on the existing proposals and somehow move forward with it? It would be nice to fully preprare a remodelling of the website and the artwork in-game with the updated logo for the next release of VS (0.5?).

CoJLs latest proposal rocked (look for draft2). If it gets down to voting that one has my support.

The original logo is in svg (drawn with Inkscape), so it's easy to resize if needed.

... I should get off my duff and do something about organizing this whole logo thing, shouldn't I...

May I add that the font used in "Upon the Coldest Sea" is of course trivial to change.

I didn't exactly "love" the particular font I picked, but I didn't have anything better of that style installed in the box where I made the drawing.

On the topic of missing logos, what happened to st_jack's insignias?

The attatchments seem to have vanished from his posts.

Attachments are no longer supported, all previous attachments are gone.

I know attachments aren't working because SourceForge changed their policy on webspace write access (that is, phpBB can't write to webspace folders). But I can't see why that would mess existing attachments... anyone?

somebody deleted them at some point... i forget exactly how it happened but i know it wasn't what we actually wanted to happen. I think it could have happened in the confused mess that was the sourceforge database server a few months ago...

I just checked the configuration, and apparently the option named "disable_mod" was set to true. I just changed it to false.

The real question is if anyone has a copy of st_jack's logo.
Of course, this won't matter if a decision has been made not to use it... but I was under the impression that logo choice was still up in the air.
