The top screeny looks impressive with the star behind it; very cinematic.

Of course, it's by no means the submission but I've experimented with the model texturing a bit:

feels good. large. good sense of large.

can't wait to see a proper tex, calm those lights down a bit etc...
are you gonna do the "master layered tex" so people can do 3rd party paintjobs?

Yes, but not right now. I'm going to the conference (7-10 July) and guess who has to design five posters for the entire group? :evil: :twisted:

These stations rock! I can't wait to see them all ingame weather they're a starfortress, commerce station, science station, unknown station etc. It's great that we're getting more stations :).

Btw I just dl'd wings.... how do I use it? I'd love to make some modles for VS.

Why don't we make a few challanges (special forum member status/VS-CD/etc.. as award) for the most needed new models in jackS' list?

for the record the stations idea came from the intro for moo2 I think
or moo1


reason for rings is simple, they offer a better field of view for weapon fire from turrents aswell as the fact any large spaceship or station should spin in battle as it negages the ablity of concentrated fire ruptureing the hull and should any section of the hull be to heavily damaged the stations spin momentum can be brought to a stop keeping the damaged section away from the heaviest fighting(cap ship attacks)

For the record it had capship docking ports :P and at the point in time I made it you didnt have cap ship docking :P

Last I checked, we were waiting on LODs before committing any of the submitted models.

long time passed since the last post, and without any intention of being polemic, will the star-fortress in 0.5.0 be the same that in 0.4.3 or will the models seen on this thread be submitted?

i haven't checked the svn, so if it's already there, please forgive me.
