3d models

Post by jc3d »

Hey everyone!
I would like to contribute 3d models to vega, and if they are good enough i would love to see them ingame :)
A couple questions:
1. When i have my finished, exported 3d model(i use blender) do i just upload it as an attachment in the forum?
2.What limits should i take into consideration like poly count limit, texture size etc.
Also I am not a great texture artist, if i submit a model and it was any good would someone else texture it?
thanks

Hi Jc3d and welcome

Here : http://vegastrike.sourceforge.net/media ... Guidelines
a main Wiki page for your information about 3D requirement poly count, texture size.

Yes you can post your model in Blend. format on the forum by using some "storage website" as divshare, box.net....etc
Picture is appreciate for publish your work just an advise : try to respect 800px width picture for every kind of screens and connection.

Yes if you dislike texture jobs somebody (or i ) can do it for you or help you to do it .
But: your model must be finished (eventually approved) and the most important and greatly appreciate : already UV unfolded/Packed !!!!
(and Attractive too)

And i will do some advertissement for some of my concept (sorry) :
