Multiplayer?

Iam not sure where to go to ask but is multiplayer avaible yet, last time i tried it kept on blocking me or something.
based on other threads that i have read it is available but there is no server atm
also even when the get the server the multiplayer is still in a alpha stage still so lots of work left to do to it
