If the mission you´re on calls for you to meet up with... oh, let´s say a Clydesdale, and said Clydesdale is a busy ship with places to go, and is making short FTL hops on the way there, using tap-on, tap-off ASAP bursts to try to keep up with him MIGHT land you in his white-hot engines if he comes to a sudden stop before you can react.

NOT that I´m speaking from personal experience, or anything.

yes those ships i have noticed like to do that. one way i get around it is to follow them and get under them (somtimes it takes a while but, i don't like losing). i have noticed that if you get close enough his spec won't be as fast.

It is also useful to match velocity with it use the "Home" key so your velocity in the HUD is shown relative to your target the default is the system's sun makes docking with a moving ship almost easy

Enjoy the Choice :)

Is it warm in here?

I found this out last night. I was supposed to meet up with an Ox. But when I jumped in, the Ox was at max speed in flight mode. I ended up chasing him THROUGH the sun, which was much less bright on the inside than on the outside.

Before I got within a few thousand meters, every enemy in the sector was chasing me. While I was gaining on the Ox, they were gaining on me. It did not end well.

I wouldn't recommend using this on a ship that is using SPEC. Your ship tries to keep up without activating it's own SPEC (=impossible).

Very true just on your final approach as when you get close enough you force it out of SPEC :D

Enjoy the Choice :)
