text to speach are usually known as readers.. here's a list of some others.. there's other stuff on the page as well, however that probably won't have any use in this game..

Do you hear, that whisper, calling unto you
O'childe of the shore
As have your brethern before you
beckoning, to sail to those distant lands
Come
embrace me, your mistress
Upon the coldest sea

This is going to be useful when making flash movies since I don't have a microphone and won't get one for awhile.

I was wondering how making or generating sounds from a synthesizer to make it sound either like a starship's engine or futuristic gunfire, hull hit could actually be done?

I'm willing to do this if I know how to do it.

Though there are a lot of programs out there that cost huge amount of cash and simply I can't afford or don't even have the desire to spend large amount of cash for a small program that does it.

oops sorry i forgot to login first.

A small edit to my last post to use that linplug synth would probly be best used within mad tracker or similar, i thought it was a standalone synth but obviously not.
