Dunno. Mission sounds a bit like an Enigma. Can't remember the exact album or song, but it puts me in mind of it. I'll have to go through my collection now and find the song.

Holly crap!, klauss. If Deodato had lived a century earlier I would have thought you were his new incarnation. Great work! Love those bass variations.

@Shadowmane: I know what you mean, I get a whiff of Enigma, too; but can't place it either. Enigma's bass player style has a bit of similarity, I think,

In this song it's not the bass but the other instruments, the way they come in sort has a similar feeling to Zay's music:

But Zay's stuff has a lot more futurism, as in a Psy-Ambiance influence. Listen to it again:

Humm, hey, I have an electric (drum) set, perhaps I could help with some of the percussion stuff?

Do you have a way of multi-tracking into an uncompressed wave-file?
Would be great to have better sounding drums. I'd also make the drum parts very self-similar during klauss's bass variations; then add a lot of percussion variations while the bass is doing the steady riff.

I think I have a program that can do that, I'll have to test it out. It's definantly possible with the right software though.

Well, The actual drum samples would probably still be the same quality, but I could probably do the actual percussion parts a lot better, and more realistically, especially big fills/solo-y stuff.

hmm... i probably could too :) I've found lately the best way to do drums is to play the drums for a mionute or 2 (yes i do have a kit), then sequence a bar, then play for another cuople minutes, then sequence another bar. It seems to take me a year for each breakhrough with my sequencing. First year was effects, second year was using dif velocities and now i'm actually playing real instruments first ;) But anyhow, i really would like to see what you can do to the pieces I have... if your samples are same quality as mine you may as record it in multi track midi?
