mission computer

Post by xian »

Sorry this may be a dumb question but any help would be appreciated. I recently installed version 1.2 of the privateer remake and the patches. For some reason the program shuts down whenever I try to use the mission computer (this happens in vega strike as well) it does the same thing when I try and upgrade sensors. The game is kind of pointless if you can't do any missions so if anyone has heard of this problem and has a solution please help.
Thank you

I'm curious, you said you installed the patches. What patches are those exactly?

I installed the standard 1.2 (23MB) attachment listed on the downloads page of the privateer remake site.

Just to be sure, you didn't download PR1.2 and the 1.2 patch, did you? The patch is only appliable if you have PR1.1.

If you posted stderr/stdout as ace proposed, you could get further help.

Sometimes this happened to me in testing when I was linking __upgrades to the actual things they allowed you to buy improperly. Maybe that's something to do with it.

In any case, if you're patching changes to a full version you should just be over-writing files which are the same (unless the patch appends files).
