Confederation Ships update.

The Confederation have of late been expanding there fleets. With the introduction of the Ferret And the Sabre the confed forces have been strengthened quite considerably. It is rumoured that they might be bring in some Confederation Capital ships as well as some corvettes though we do not know what type yet.

The Hunters have been at it again. This time at new Constantinople. The Merchant’s have called for the Hunters to release the area but the hunters have refused.

We will have to wait to see the end of this dispite.

Allegiances

Due to the rising power of the Militia the Confederation of tarren Planets has opted to make an allegiance with the Hunter Fraction. This has not come as a surprise with the recent spat of events. With the Hunters block-adding New Constantinople the Militia and Merchants have called for mobilization of all their forces. It is feared that a civil war is pending. It has now been confirmed that the Pirates and Retros have allied with the Kilrathi.

War!

The Prime Minister of Gemini, a Merchant himself, has stated last week that if the Hunters and Confederation did not drop their alligations, which they have denied strongly, that war would be unavoidable. Due to the block-adding of New Constantinople the PM has demanded the hunters leave certain systems, namely New Constantinople, New Detroit, Palen, and Troy. All these systems happen to be either central hubs connecting to other systems, or have access to resources that could be beneficial to them if a war does occur.

Merchant Fleet Wiped Out

A fleet of Merchant Galaxy gun Ships destroyed on the 25th of June in the Palen system, just one week after Prime Minister Folie Borroder demanded that all hunters leave certain systems. Palen was one of them. The in-system police believe that the Cardiff Squadron are responsible. The squadron is a joint Kilrathi, Retro, and Pirate operation. The Hunters blame Mr Borroder and the rest of the Merchant forces, saying that they knew that Palen was not properly secured. The fleet were on a routine clean sweep.
Palen is know as the ‘gateway of riches’ among the workers there. Several space platforms have been built in the systems past it to harvest the Ores and Metals found in the asteroids. This of coarse has attracted the Kilrathi, Retro, and Pirates like bees to the honey. The newly charted systems of Gamma, Gamma-Prime, etc. have been focussed on as the asteroids have a virtually un-limited supply of needed resources. It is as one Merchant said “Hell to fly through, but you do it because of the money you get.â€

moment:
Stopping to smell the roses
can sometimes be a tricky
business, people think that
you're letting the grass
grown under your feet, and
then the bosses think that

that you're the sort of person

This would be a bit of a slap
in the face however, if you're

However, some people are
just as stubborn as a mule,

it's just best to let sleeping
dogs lie otherwise you'll be

home. So Carpe diem,
Grasp the nettles while
smelling the roses - it
quite a balancing and with
too many chief’s and not
enough Indians everyone’s
critic anyhow. So, no
worries mate! One might as
well muck out the stables
when the goings good.

For our Consideration:
now, today, and yesterday.
The day after tomorrow is a
wonderful day. Can’t you
just feel it’s grandiose
wonderment at being able to
go to the future?
Personally, I can not wait to
visit the future, tomorrow
even will be the future,
however, it’s too close to
really be regarded as future.
This is an interesting
phenomena because of
tomorrows attachment to
today. For indeed if
tomorrow w a s not
tomorrow, then it would be
some other day or could
even be a yester day or not
even a day at all.
This would be a terrible
thing as then the day after
tomorrow might not com
and then future might be
different.
However, a fact that has
caused scientists extreme
difficulties is that today is
tomorrows yesterday and
that today is yesterdays
tomorrow is indeed another
cause for wonderment.

Shouts Fly

At a recent conference held on neutral grounds emotions rang haywire with the Merchies accusing the Hunters and Confederate force of moving contraband for the Pirates. A Confed spokesman said later, “We did not move the contraband for them (pirates), but we confiscated it (Contraband) and moved it to a facility at which we destroyed it. The Merchants and Militia should keep out of other peoples business instead of looking through some ones rubbish bin to dig up dirt to accuse their opponents with.â€

New Confederate Forces.

As a result to the conference which ran wild and several confederate ships being destroyed a Confederation class dreadnought is being moved into the area in an attempt to quell the civil war. The TCS Andromeda, which is the fleet flagship, will arrive in Gemini soon under the command of brigadier Mark Mossman.

Training School Destroyed

New Detroit Training Academy - - renowned throughout the Gemini sector as the worst training academy, was destroyed in last weeks riots. One of our reporters was lucky enough to find him in a local pub. Praises Ring

Every woman in New detroit is singing praises for the Privateer squadron. This morning he delivered a desperately needed shipment of Playthings. rumors of the Retros destroying previous shipments of the cargo are being investigated. A new activist group has been formed in the heat of these events named WAR: Women Against Retros. Inside sources say that the name WARC: Women Against Retros and Celibacy was turned down for unknown reasons.

Resources Refused

With the Kilrathi-Tarren War haightening the need for Ores and Minerals has been growing at an alarming rate. It is alarming becuase the bulk of the requied minerals has fallen on Gemini. You are prbebly thinking "I don't see what is so alarming? That is good for the econamy." Well unfortunatly because of the civil war most of the Ore & Mineral rich systems are Merchant or Militia held. The Rebels are refusing to sell or trade the ore or minerals so the Confederation have set a deadline with which the Mechies have to agree to sell the required orders.

A Sense Of Nothing

With the latest happenings in Gemini we, at the Gemini News Network, are wondering about what the Merchies And Militia understand of their sense of responsibility to Gemini, or the world in general.

We have been trying to work this out. The only way, we think, that they could have lost all their senses (except their sense when it come to exploiting the poor) is that they are to rich. So we have come up with a new game, Shoot a Merchie.

Militia HQ Destroyed

The Militia HQ in the Junction system has been destroyed by a Hunter and Confederation force. The move was to show the Militia and Merchies, that they can't out do the long established protectors.

Admiral Terral said from Perry Navel Station, "We regret the lose of life in this war, but the two groups (Militia and Merchants) need to understand that we (The Confederation) and the Hunters will always be around and will always be protecting the right's of the citizen's in Gemini. The Militia have a job in protecting the people we can't cover. We can't cover everyone. The Merchents have a job in buying and selling what the people need. We can't do merchentering nor can the merchants do what we do, protecting the people on such a large scale"

When asked how they did it, Sandra Goodin said, "The Militia expected us to attack the drayman first so they beamed up from the earth it was orbiting a strong and vitually unpentrable phase sheild. When we came to destroy the ship we bombed the planet instead."
