Shelton slide?

Post by micheal_andreas_stahl »

What happened to the shelton slide? I held the key down and turned and my ship turned around just like normal? Has the key been taken out or is it some fault on my part?

That was turned off because it wasn't in the original Priv, I think. We need a can_slide field for ships.... for example, in wc3 only the arrow and excalibur could slide.

That would be nice, it would make some ships special - I've been trying to wikipedia search which ships on wc1 or wc2 could do the manuever but no dice :(

Probably the only reason they couldn't would be because Origin hadn't thought up the Shelton Slide by then. Maybe make the ability to Shelton a purchasable upgrade?

Making one ship sheltonable and another, or making an upgrade, both require a small change in the engine. Nothing too hard to do, just right now we're working on multiplayer/networking (by "we" I mean "mostly the people who are better at it than myself", I'm just helping).

Will keep it in mind though, thanks for the pointer!
