is Privateer Remake and Gemini Gold 2 different Downloads???

I can't believe that separate efforts as such amazingly similar goals are being made.... ??

As far as I know - yes, they are 2 different projects. But I guess we are all related somehow

While PR project is aiming for remaking every content especially graphically and with some minor gameplay changes, GG project is sticking to the original content. I guess that was the difference... not too sure about it

I hope I've not said something wrong here...

This is for all who are interested in the cause of two remake projects. I guess everybody can know this.

I got a little reguest to all newbies:

As you can see, there was a lot of discussion about the creation of the two different versions and how it was done. Those discussions seem to be over now and everything seems to be fine again. I, and I guess a lot of other guys are with me, would like it, if we don't need to start this discussion again, as long as there is no serious, serious reason to do so. Thanks

Calling them 2 separate projects is misleading. They are two separate downloads, but hardly separate projects. Some of the details differ (mainly what was said by rockstar), but the vast majority of the assets are exactly the same. Not really any duplication of effort, rather different polish added to the same core.

That's more choice for the players, without you having to worry too much about duplication of efforts
