Traffic in unkown Systems
Hi,
I am currently playing the campain and fly for the exploration service. I wonder why there are pirates, militia, bounty hunters and even merchants at the unkown systems (beta, delta, gamma)?
It's quiet strange to explore an unkown system and out of nothing there appeares a militia patrol and wants to scan my cargo...
I mean, if they patrol this system and merchants flying throught it, why do i have to explore it?

Same here.Charlie Whiskey wrote:Mine is version 1.2 though...
The Problem is, it makes this scout missions much more difficult. After Palan (thats some damn hard missions - had to switch to easy and hire 3 wingmen to survie) every Bounty Hunter wants my head and they appear in the "unkown" system...

I went exploring in the unexplored systems before I was supposed to and found the broken down Kamekh. I think that it probably shouldn't use the astroids "landed" menu (or whatever you call it). I saved recently so I desided to attack it and distroyed it because I couldn't get the steltec gun. While I was shooting it a kilrathi taunted me and the ship attacked me. I don't think that a broken down ship should be able to attack back, let alone have someone alive able to turn the ship back on (or fully repaired) at will.

If you can't read it, it's obviously not.

the term you are looking for is docking screen
Anyway, the derelict you are thinking of is not the same as the Kamekh you run into out there. It's looking for the same thing you are, which is elsewhere.
If Hellcat is right and excess traffic in those systems is fixed in CVS, expect the fix in the next version, hopefully not too far off.
