Fly a Talon home today...
My cockpit for the Talon is complete now. As soon as its zipped i'll send it to the usual place.
Some suggestions (I could not implement myself due to lack of skill or knowledge about the code) to make the Talon an option for the player at least early on in the game (If that is intended):
- make stock version, that can be equipped with armor - the milspec variant's armor is simply too weak. Reactor 2 / Shield 1 maximum.
- If it's not too much work, make mounts for weapons on the ship's model instead of the fixed graphics...
- change the .cpt-file used from galaxy to talon...
But first some screenshots from the test flight:

That kicks mucho ass! Two questions:
(1) Can I use it for WCU too?
(2) Where is the usual place?
*is the kingly princess of being out of the loop due to braindeadness*

So you already made the .cpt file? Great job! I can tweak from there (getting it to use its own .cpt file instead of the galaxy's for instance). It would be pretty easy to use the custom weapon mounts, I'd just have to chop off the ones that are modelled on. I'd probably only do that for player owned ships..
Spirit, the usual place is the email address I'll forward when it gets tweaked.

hellcat and I use that account.
What is the box on top used for? I can't think of any instruments that don't show up elsewhere. Could use it for the jump indicator or something, though that would give that relatively insignificant instrument quite a prominent place
Maybe afterburner fuel in a hypothetical mod where afterburners used that instead of reactor energy..

FRIKKIN AWESOME! </carl>
Makes the Talon reasonably fun to fly and the cockpit visibility is fantastic. Reminds me of a postWW2 italian car, nice, simple, readable.

I used Blender for 3D and Gimp for the textures and sprites.
The topmost "box" you probably refer to is just the reflection of the "EJECT" sign below on the cockpit "roof".
- and there is one more thing that needs to be fixed: The weapons now fire from too far up, so it looks like the bolts come right out of the cockpit. Threfore they have to be put lower, or the cockpit higher.

That is Great! Where can i get i? the gladius cockpit does not like me so i don't use it. this fits the ship much more. now some person has to go and make a cockpit for the paradigm or steltek fighter.
