Inversing the roll axis

Post by Charlie Whiskey »

How can I inverse the roll control? My joystick has a twist axis but the ship rolls left when I twist right.

Find the line that says (in vegastrike.config)

<axis name="z" joystick="0" axis="2"/>

And change it to

<axis name="z" joystick="0" axis="2" inverse="true"/>

Just checked the code.
It should work.

Are you sure you inverted the proper axis?

X-Y = yaw, pitch
Z = roll
throttle = well, throttle.

Smooth panning isn't possible ATM, though I imagine it could be coded in.

It would look a little weird with the 2d cockpits though, since we just have the four views and no way to smoothly transition between them. If you fly in HUD only mode it wouldn't be an issue. If we used 3d cockpits that would solve it too of course
