Several How-Tos

Need help testing contributed art or code or having trouble getting your newest additions into game compatible format? Confused by changes to data formats? Reading through source and wondering what the developers were thinking when they wrote something? Need "how-to" style guidance for messing with VS internals? This is probably the right forum.

How to change the default credits parameter, for example, I want to change from 13500 credits to 80000 (or higher) credits?

What about adding cargo and upgrades alike?

I think if you edit /missions/explore_universe.mission or the New_Game save file in /.vegastrike/save/ you can change the defualt starting credits.

Info on hacking mission files to add credits can be seen at this thread and HowTo:Edit Missions on the VSWiki.

Some info on hacking save files can be found in section five of HowTo:Add Ships on the VSWiki.

We should write a wiki article explaining save files in detail, I don't think one exists currently.
