I'm trying to convert a bunch of meshes from .obj files usually exported from wings3d to bfxm files that vegastrike likes. However, i'm getting bad normal maps the leave holes through the models. I don't really have much experience with modeling (read any) so if anyone has insights as to a possible fix please let me know
I just reexported from Wings3d converting to all triangles and the textures work correctly. looks like there were some poly's in there that weren't the right shape. Glad I got that figured out. Looks like y'all will get to see some nice new ships
I have no idea, thats just what jacks said in his email to me. I read the wiki article on normal mapping and it seems like there could be a hole in it...
