broken blender_xmesh_import.py (patch included)

Post by bobbens »

So I've been running around like crazy trying to get xmesh's working in blender and I finally managed to find the hidden source. It didn't work out of the box but with barely any tweaking I got it working fine. So here I attach the patch that makes it work with blender 2.42a. Thanks for the great tool :)

Hmm... now that's odd, I have version 1.1.2 installed on my machine, newer than what's in svn. It already has the fix you described.

I'm thinking I'll commit the version I have installed.

I believe this is where the import one came from:
http://www.geocities.com/cubofjudahslion/VS/xmesh.zip
Here's the related forum post:

Dandan made an export plugin, too, but I can't find a link to it.
I'm going to put those two in the svn objconv directory.

Anyway

I saw the *.zip file, but it said [WIP] on the wiki and that usually is enough to make me distrustful, but being then on a geocites website packaged in a *.zip scared me, so I just kept looking :). I am ever distrustful of geocites. The version I'v got seems to work well enough, but I'll try the newer one.
