UV-mapping in Blender tutorial

Post by chuck_starchaser »

Finally found a good tutorial, a video tutorial on LSCM UV-Unwrapping...
http://www.blender3d.org/cms/Model_Mate ... 397.0.html
It's 50 megs and sound doesn't play through the Windows player; so you probably want to download the file to disk and meanwhile go grab a better media player, the one they recommend, called VLC, here:

Good blending.

This is about the most complete set of videotutorials I've come across on creating game-content in Blender including uv-texturing.

http://www.quake3bits.com/htm/tutorials ... errain.htm

I don't think I will copy the workflow, but it does show a lot of Blender's features in this area.

I UV Mapped with blender3D a while back.

I must say it's a good program to make in-side base scenes with, and you can tile with a certain type of area.

Ok blender UV Mapping, is there any type of way you can make a shadow mesh in the UV window an active mesh where in the 3D window, the faces on the object are selected as purple?

Because I have a square on the side of the UV map which means that part has not be UV mapped yet and I don't have a clue which faces are done and which ones are not.

Kind of hard to explain.

You could texturepaint something on the square in the uv-editor.
