Is there something wrong with the CVS data? Because everytime i checkout i
get corrupted textures. I know it is not anything else's fault, because the windows alpha version posted on the forums works ok whit it's own data, and when i copy it to the cvs data folder it exhibits the same behaviour. Im using wincvs 1.3.10.1 Beta 1. Could that be the problem? If you want I can post some images and logs later.

UNIX linefeeds
you have to check out with unix linefeeds for it to work
if you use wincvs then there's a checkbox to use UNIX LF (0xa) or something it's in a hard to find place on the last menu
if you use a command line client then you can do
cvs ... ... checkout -kb
you can maybe specify the -kb flag in wincvs
