System not rendering and other problems

So I visited Alpha Centauri in game to see the quest there played out. The only problem is, only half of the system is rendered. 2 planets, the shipyard, and two jump points. This is on 1.5.1r1, not a newer version.

On the newer version that I can download from Sourceforge (and the one from Github), the jump points are constantly activated. On the Github version, I can jump to Stirling, but when go jump to Bernard's Star, it crashes the game.

I figured out my problem, but I don't know how to fix it. I pulled up the map on the newest SVN version and it doesn't show Bernard's Star. That's why the game is crashing. I try to jump into the system and it don't find it. It doesn't even default to the system in the milky_way.xml file. It just dumps me out of the program.

This should not happen more than once, by the look of it.
Also, if there's no config at the default location, then where vssetup writes?

Am I supposed to put the bin folder in the data file. Because I'm launching the program from the bin folder, which is in the Vegastrike folder beside the data folder. This crash happens every time I try this. I've even tried saving in Stirling first and it still happens. It's just not finding Bernard's Star for some reason.

Yes the bin folder should actually be within the data directory as that is one on the ways the exec/binary can find the each data folder that's under Windows mind under Linux I usually symbolic link it to the data directory when I run in userland.
