When the camera is about 50km away from Phobos, a hole appears.

I figured it might be something to do with the "size" of the model and the camera depth range.

The object is also treated like a large unnatural object that you can dock with as opposed to a natural object/planet.

This has also been reported for vegatrek some time ago. No solution found then...
