0.5.0 vserr output

Not sure this counts as a bug, or a new user issue. I know that 0.5.0 is stable for everyone else, but I can't get it to launch. The following is the text from the vserr file. Any help discerning this would be most appreciated!

I'm running Ubuntu 11.10, and for graphics I've got a Radeon RS100 using the open source driver.

Nothing there sounds fatal.
The cause of death must be somewhere else.

Did you try gdb?

Giant death balls? Yep, already tried them...or did you mean something else and I'm not very smart?

Yeah, that was the line that I thought looked like bad news, but you're the first to mention it. What folder would I expect to find Python in?

If it was found in standard ones, there wouldn't be such a problem in the first place. Check whether it's installed on package level?

Shouldn't really matter.
VS comes with its own set of builtin modules.
And that's only a warning, if it was an error, a python traceback would show below it.
