weird pricing

Post by FlyingAce »

I accepted a destroy capship mission for 25,000,000 credits. I went about 6 systems away and finally got there. there was a corvette and a rllan capship fighting, but it said that it wanted me to kill a hyena! I did it and got 25,000,000. I think that this is a little messed up.

I have encountered this problem with capital ship bounty missions. I've done like 3 of them and they all went the same way.

I accept this $$ mission to kill a capship, i fly to the system, there's one or two corvettes that got were invisible with a DID NOT LOAD (or whatever) because they couldn't be found. The mission then tells me to go kill a single fighter, which I can do pretty easily. Then I get a load of cash.

There was a different mission where I was supposed to take down a Franklin for 64mil. SIXTY-FOUR MILLION!!!!

first of all, that's too much money. Either we need a bunch of highlevel stuff that we can drop 60 million on, or there should be some kind of cap on mission pay.

then, I flew to the place... expecting to get my head handed to me because it had 11 escorts. I spotted it by hitting H, and look at it on object view. It was breaking off from its flight to attack me!!!!

Yes, all 11 Franklin escorts continued on their merry way while the 64million credit ship took me on by itself.

So now.... what do I do with 60 million credits (after buying a franklin of my own! damn Hellcat! I thought you said these were going to be light courriers!!)

I believe it got translated as "Diplomatic shuttle"
And then implemented as "Diplomatic shuttle built by a sect of engineers with mucho resources wherein the particular implementer may have been just a bit paranoid about passenger safety"

so, not too far off from "light courrier" :)
