Faction Reset (SVN Rev. 11878 & 11880)

Post by Lazarus »

Every time I open Vegastrike to continue a saved game, I find my faction relationships set to the defaults for a new game. It doesn't happen if I save and then reload the game without exiting. I first noticed this while using revision 11878. I then updated to rev. 11880 (current) to see if the bug had been fixed. I can't say whether or not earlier revisions had the same problem; I haven't been playing VS long enough to try them.

Welcome Lazarus and thx for the report that would indeed be problematic when we do get the campaign going as apposed to the current mini-quest intro to it.

Enjoy the Choice :)

Then it should be fixed as of the last commit as hellcatV committed a new windows exe last night :D of course you have to be using tortoiseSVN and not the installer version of the 0.5 beta

Enjoy the Choice :)

I'm running VS on Windows XP.

I tried the newest SVN... woo, buddy, did VS do some fun things then. Occam's razor taken into account, I am inclined to believe I did something wrong to make the game act this funny. I think I'll try wiping my SVN file clean and downloading it again.

Lazarus, try the newest SVN update with the new binary and tell us if you still have the problem. Please post SVN REV nunber if you can.

That is good to know.
I think you just got unlucky with your SVN updates to have missed the fix for the bug.
