Load Screen SVN 11724
Just so you know, the load screen has been borked. IE, doesn't work anymore. The buttons still work and the little 'light' textures work. But the background has multiple scanlines. See if it works on your system.

But there didn't seem to be a problem with The missions screen or the planet landing screens if I remember. . . LOKI If you are still on 169, can you confirm that the landing screens and the ship upgrade screen and the mission screen are all working well?

I have a similar problem with hatching,
the load screen is fine, but I get hatching on some of the Methane planets, and
on the swirl-effect whenever I go through a jump hole.
I'm using the Nvidia 169.07 drivers compiled against my kernel I'm using with my Kubuntu Hardy Heron Alpha 2.
I've attached my config.log to see if you can see any problems.

I actually reverted to 100.x series drivers because of the bugginess (it showed a big "BETA" splashscreen upon starting up).
It could be due to texture compression. Anyway I'll check it out with my nvidia 8600 on the 169 drivers...
I also have a 6800 but I think it worked fine last I tested, might have been before the 169 series.
