the above is just one example of many occurances of this bug
here is the general way this happens

you are flying along and for whatever reason you meet the
"space is a harsh mistress" panel
thinking "life wasn't that bad, I'l just respawn:
after a moument your back in time sometime before you demise ....
but wait something not right
or maybe you can't help but notice the gaping hole in your hulll
it really doesn't matter where you think are you, you're really in Mistress Mayhems parlor
and she's having her way with you my niave freinds
and the only know route of escape is to have aquired an insurace polcy
prior to your incounter with she herself and notyou

Lets be fair nobdy ever said space or even the hereafter would be guarenteed easy
but I can't think of anyone I'd like to the mistress get even my worst enemies
to the point you can not expect what will happen when you meet her
See she's an evil and cunning witch
it's said none of her "boys" ever suffer in the exact sam way as anyone else
many of her victims have come together to find only one common thread
some ship malfuntion caused during the last moments of combat followed them into
thier new exsistance
in the report referenced above the hud system was damaged due to entering a nebula
an ambush followed on this pilot now has no way to pilot a ship whithout a nebula damaged hud.
I my self have encounter herself but fortunately as a young pilot had purchased a policy
and forgot about anyways once found I just break the seal and normal space
oh make sure to check if the policy is one time or lifetime when buying
like I said Ive had more than on encounter with her
And I don't want to stay whit her any longer than I hav to so I went with the lifetime policy
(actually I felt sorry the guy, and I mean Space Mistress right) but anyway glad I did now
the worst part is every ship dealer will say you ship is fine and they will carge you for repair they won't make and tell you they didn't fix what's not broke and on and on
heard once that some guy who only had right thrusters met and in time married some gal
who only had left thrusters and the went into buisness and had normal children
I think it void legend but who knows?

oh sure wouldn't a period look nice

first of all you never just have one period
second you need the period supplies for all of the messes the periods make
then there are all of the periodicals
and don't forget the period peices
period painting and pictures

And that's not the end of it.

Next thing you know, you'll find yourself taking requests for capitalized sentences, all kinds of punctuation marks (not just periods - even colons may be requested if you don't stop it now).

Furthermore, you may find some people has the nerve to require them in the right places. WTF! Isn't it enough that they be there, that one must put them where they're supposed to be?

No... stop it now, before it's too late.

BTW - a friend of mine, one of my best friends as it happens, refuses to put accents when typing (spanish uses the tilde: pÃºrpura). Sometimes that becomes confusing, as some words have identical spelling if you disregard proper placement of accents. One learns to live with it. Ah... when I say "refuses", I mean "refuses", as in he actually said: "I refuse to type that way".

@klauss: I know the feeling. Our language needs marks to denote full stops, catches on the throat, long vowels, etc. But there is a more important mark. The tilde over the n, in the "enye" letter, for words with hispanic origins. Same problem. Most people are too lazy to put the xtra effort to get a tilde over the n.

Careless people sometime writes "aÃ±o" without the tilde (hm... tilde in english has a different meaning, hadn't noticed - tilde in english: ~ - tilde in spanish: Â´ ). Do search aÃ±o without the tilde, and have some fun. Though most type it anio instead, to avoid the unpleasantries of the other misspelling. Actually, that's quite important in programming languages, where you are rarely allowed the correct spelling.

BTW: It got offtopic enough to go to offtopic, but it has a legitimate link to an actual bug report. I'll see... since it's just complaining about a nonbug, I might move it.

RESOLUTION: Yep... gameplay tactics. Just to encourage ontopicness.

Actually I was to lazy to read that first post (I begun, but I didn't finish. My studies in Latin supply me with more long sentences than I like to read).

ano: does it originate from the latin anus (which is a word still meaning the same in modern languages as well)?

If your keys work the same as US-international (doubtful), try Ctrl+Alt+N.
Or, if you're in windows, try Alt+164.
On Linux, I could never get it without proper keyboard setups.

The Truth is
A. The original post does indead represents real problems: improper respawn activity at least on my system {period}
B . While reporting this problem, I tried to post in theme oriented narritive for color (and length) {period}
C. While it was periodly challenged, it was puntuated with both spaces and linefeeds for breaks (period)
D. Most if not all of my posting errors have 2 causes{colon}
{tab}I. typing ability slightly better than your average turtle{comma}
{tab}II. ideas to be typed proceeding at light speed {period}
E. If my rants bring amusement to any of the readers I am blessed {PERIOD}

as for punctuation... well.... i usually eschew such formal trivialities... i prefer three periods to denote me taking a breath... ...or pausing... because i type like i talk... unless of course i have to write formally....

with punctuation and spelling i belive its best to get your point across and be understood... anything else just wastes keystrokes...

@klauss: ano without the tilde in filipino is tagalog for "What?" , so.. "What?!! gross.." lol.

@Sunfire: download the VS dev version. Be very careful, the space mistress bites off fingers.
