AI sending civialian ships to crash into my ship

Koalas and various unarmed ships stalk me while I am being attacked by people who are actually shooting at me. Is this a bug? I mean, with my hacked weapon they instantly die but seriously... they can't do anything to my ship.
Oh, and about the ULN. Screw them. Every single ship I destroy, regardless of faction, makes them mad. So I'm going to shoot every last one of them today for kicks. Will report back tomorrow.
