Not in the traditional sense of typing in codes, but since the game is open-source, it's very easy to modify. For instance, you can get any ship and amount of credits you desire by editing a save file or the mission file.

As for missions, do you mean mission files (game type) or what kinds of missions to take in-game (cargo delivery, bounty, etc.) ?

BTW, this thread should probably be in the "User Help" forum, it might get moved there.

So i can make that i can get one of the most expensive ships for a 1000 credits.

That would require editing the master parts list file if I'm not mistaken.

I would instead reccommend either just giving yourself the ship by editing a save file or giving yourself enough credits to buy the ship (also by editing a save file.)

i also would change the money
and - to avoid something like file check-sum errors i'd change in the hex range like:

13500 is 34bc i'd take ffff and enter 65535.. is enough for a weapon..

If Vega Strike can be modifyed, does that mean you can change the relationship you have with other factions?
So if some people just want to trade and save up without being interupted by that pesky pirate or if their computer would freeze if theirs too much going on, they could make it so everyone is friendly?
Or if people are crazy and want to be at war with everyone, they could just make everyone their enemies?

Yeah that is possible but the faction code is pretty complicated as it ties into the AI routines have a look at faction.py i believe that is the python routine that runs the faction system.
