on this last mesh I just forgave some polys, the little control deck with radar which face big round part, will post it this night

Just to say I updated last screen of earth force 1 with missing parts (a *bip* of inacurrate blueprint)

La espace avion TerreForce Un est voit tres bien. Je veux jouer la B5 mod quand il est finis.

J'ai ecriver en francais (un petite...), mais je ne comprende pas quand vous ecrivez en francais.

mais je peux, uhh... appreciater (heh) la langue.

well guys, continue this way and I will have to put my B5 mod in off topic section ;)
It should be fun, but later, to have some ships for people from different parts of the world, or some recon signs on the ships, but for now we are the earth alliance, and we will blast vorlon with the appropriate material. We will protect earth force 1, we will have to protect maintenance starfurys repairing a nova class dreadnought to be able to jump out a sadly infested place, we will be special forces with a small squadron, we will fly in narn war machines, we will try whitestars, we will escort excaliburs to destroy vorlon planet killers, we will land off full 3d hangars...
let me say you you will destroy your joystick trigger with this mod :twisted:

well, it seems I found somebody for python coding, I'm still in discussions with her. with so, and with the number of ships I didn't saw you so far (the little ones, like fighters, little transport, maintenance bots), I think I will be abble to post one or 2 test missions in 1 month. I have many work to do with the universe now, but I found some good galactic maps, the only think which is missing so far is the size of the planets, cannot find anything on the web

I cant wait to see the above capital ship in game. It looks to me like the best capital ship ever made for VS yet :)

I have only 3 lod meshes per model, with things like detail texturing I don't think it will be enough :roll:

Detial texturing would only come in to play if you were very close to the object, it should probably be ok.

yes, but it should be fun to see many greebles when you are close to a surface, like, in star wars, when X wings attack the death star

bump mapping would be good for that too; but at best would probably be at least a year off.

there is many plugins for good modelers which allow you to draw greebles and convert them to polys, for now I use things like that to create greebled surfaces for closed views and other stuffs. The only pb is the texturing of the producted mesh :twisted:
