a starfury as a playable ship, and many capital ships, the others will come when export cockpit will be ok, I cannot stand driving a thunderbolt without a real 3d cockpit ;)

There's a small collection of ships on the blender models site too.....they may be too high poly, and the authors may not let you have them...but just making sure you've at least seen them :-)

I saw these blender ships, but in most of case they are huge polycount and converted from another source: I think I waste less time making them myself with nice blueprints or ref images than finding who did what and asking this personn for meshes. Plus you can find many meshes on the web, but the textured ones are really hard to find, and in most cases they are too high poly to be easy to texture easily ;) Trust me, good low poly textured meshes of B5 are really hard to find ;)
The only personn I asked something made a really nice narn outpost , but as I get no reponse I did it myself

I think, yes ;) If I have enough place I will put the lightwave files as "source files"

it's been a long time since I didn't posted anything, I have some weird problems with my regular ftp, and hunting for large free areas on the web. Voila.fr seems ok, we will see ;)
Anyway, here comes my warlock, near the end of the texturing phase.
As you might see on the nose, I used the fake lightning effect from the turtorial section in http://members.madasafish.com/~simondr666/

finally added some more greebles, 1200 polys for the nose, let's assume it will be a LOD0 of a multi part ship ;)

You sure know about http://mods.firstones.com/buda5/iwar2/index.html , http://freespace.volitionwatch.com/babylon/ , http://ifh.firstones.com/, http://mods.firstones.com/homeworld/screens.shtml , right? Also, a very-high-poly Babylon 5 Station is available at http://mods.firstones.com/b5cgi/ .

Specially, I love the I-War 2 Buda 5 mod.

I know all of this links. The station is too high polmy for me, I'm afraid. Homeworld & freespace mods are too low poly too. Buda5 is nice , especially the version for Iwar2, but there is no way to take the meshes, the only availables are for buda5 v1.0, and are too low poly for me.
Then I decided to make myself all the meshes I need, and after my first release I will look for a place to put the lightwave meshes on the net, under gnu gpl, so other people looking for (nice?) low poly meshes could use my work

dont worry, they are nice :)

edit: oops, sorry, i was reading fast and misread your message, i thought that you were saying that after you were done the B5 mod you would host your B5 models and the '(nice?)' part was reffering to your models...

Just in case you didn't know this URL:
http://www.blenderwars.com/frame.php?module=models

There are blender-files of some B5-meshes. Dunno if you can import/convert them.
