Yes, I drilled the surface without checking because I missed these insets, I will correct them, and put a texture wich more in the the general colors of the ship.hurleybird wrote:Looks good, though you might want to fix the texturing where the two black windows join the rest of the ship.

In most cases, I draw my texture on a simple paper where I have printed the blueprints of the ship. I colorize it with some pens, scan it, do some modif in photoshop or the gimp, because I always thought that a pen is more handy than a mouseKernelBurner wrote:dude how can u make soo many cool ships???? i wish i could do those...
For the meshes, well, for B5, I just follow the blueprints

I always thought that a work based on a drawing gave a better result... but I kinda suck at drawing by hand
And besides the fact you are french (kidding ), I think you're quite talented as a modeler... and god I can't prevent myself to say that I love your avatar's ship:)
By the way is it already in the data 0.4 ? If not could you send me a VS usable model for it ? I would really enjoy flying with it.

btw I'm already looking for some help, mainly in python, all the peoples who said they would help me disapeared. I already have a storyline, I have enough meshes to post a firts alpha, the universe is almost finished, but for the missions, well, for now it's a bit fly and shoot only

be warned...it takes a *lot* of playtesting to get the missions right...

I think I'm patient enough I want to do some other meshes before launching myself in the missions, I just have a design document, all the things I need to do seems ok with actuals capacities of VS. I will try to post my design document as soon as I have translated it in good englishbe warned...it takes a *lot* of playtesting to get the missions right...

You know I don't spend more than 2 hours/days with my computer, wife (one of the best ways to change a geek to a normal human, the wife, by the way ), work, friends, sports... If you know how you will make a mesh, if don't waste 3 hours to decide yourself to use the drill tool instead of a boolean operation, well, 2 hours are enough to make many things

Wow, these models are amazing!
When are we going to get a B5 mod website to peruse and download the mod from? You should ask for vegastrike.sourceforge.net/b5mod or something (like vegastrike.sourceforge.net/vegatrek).
Great work!
