When I will have access to higher bandwith I think I will upload what I already have. basically it's playable, but it's only a "graphic mod", I didn't began any sort of python scripting (and honestly I would love to find someone who can do it, I'm a graphist, not a programmer)

Awesome, really looking forward to this. Just getting the ships in will be a great step.

Any chance there will be a release anytime soon? Is this project still being developed? I would love to see this mod become real...

I second that. Even if it's just a ship-replacement pack to start, I'd love to take some B5 vessels for a jaunt.

oh yes plz

Of all things, I'd imagine the physics engine is already quite good for B5, given that B5 seems to obey the laws of physics more closely than any other space-based Sci-fi.

I'd like to help

I don't have anymore time to develop this mod (real life... from student to worker;p), but I still have all the files (meshes/textures). most are LWO files as BXFM are less interresting, storagewise. the conversion trough blender is easy, but the old lightwave script don't work anymore with LW9
I will try to find a place to upload all thoses stuffs. One day^^

Mod not dead...

Now that 0.50 is stable, I want to restart the MOD. Right now, I moved development to the Torque Engine. An alpha release is scheduled for next month. Go to www.garagegames.com and search for B5SC.

Problem is where can I get my hands on some of Etheral Walker's great B5 Models (with permission, of course)?

I can code in C++, but the model conversion and design process is a real pain.

ethereal walker: you can email them to me if you like (freegamerblog @ gmail dot com) for back up

Btw, what license do you release your models under?

for sure, doing it right now.
I'm using free art license for all meshs, and textures:

By the way, you can put them on share, it would be a shame to let so many work rotting; I saw another user of this forum have a site with free meshes (can't remember the name:/), maybe you can see with him?

I don't have access to any VS-related SVN although I can put them in the freegamer SVN.

You might be better off scouting out newer more detailed models from other fan projects and fan sites dedicated to this universe. This project's graphics looks almost a decade old.

If you want to thaw a mod this cold, graphics could make a big difference for better or worse.

I was doing some digging. If a B5 Mod rework is in the works Tech Data may help.
