ok, for the beginning there will be 3 playable races, the earth alliance, the narn regime and the centauri republic.
For the EA, you will begin in an Earth Alliance Shuttle (with a gun, so non canon) (if someone has an idea of non military little ship with guns I'm interested)
Centauri: Centauri Transport
Narn: Narn Commercial Transport

I don't know, as you saw I already remade raider battlewagon and ships, but those are pirates, not good guys. I was thinking of an EA ship... Maybe the skylark class transport ? It has a good firepower, 6 pulse cannons, as they are removable I can let only 1 or 2 to let the player feel weak before changing to a more dangerous ship

This delta-winged atmospheric capable space fighter was once in the service of the Belt Alliance, an obsolete colonial defense force supported by the Earth colonies in the Orion system. Created simply for defensive purposes, the Belt Alliances Zephyr class fighter was originally only to be used to capture suspected smugglers, raiders, and starships that tried to avoid paying jumpgate fees. Unfortunately this versatile little fighter became the weapon of choice for those pirates it was designed to combat.

You could start off in a raider fighter working for a security grgroupoup, local police force, bounty hunter, or something along those lines.

Also the web site:

Is another wonderful resource. Now if I can only get my hands on a timeline (I haven't watched the show since it went off of the air  ).

If your willing to pay $70/season, they sell the show and movies on DVD these days.

but the show never really covers early history of earth in space... (ie, pre-dilgar war)

Since my last post I got the movies for Xmas. Since then I've picked up seasons 1 & 4 AND bought Season 2 & 5. I've re-watch all of Season 1 & the movies. I'm awaiting the delivery of Season 2.

My brother has Seasons 3&4 so we'll swap.

Also Season 5 is a Xmas present for my brother later this year.

Shssh, don't tell him.

I'm guessing that the Minbari wars segment won't be much fun...

Well, some areas are covered by IFH, so it would make sense to prioritize the rest rather than try to be redundant with them from the start.
Also, required "systems+hyperspace" mechanics would be a good reason to implement the system/shard system needed for MMO anyway. And it can be reused for a possible "Ur-Quan Strike" mod, for that matter, therefore yay. ;)
