Type-6 Shuttle

Post by Phlogios »

My first Star Trek ship: The type-6 shuttle!
It really made appearances in star trek (probably voyager) and these are the original pictures: ImageImage
This is my model:

It is not supposed to be very high-poly, because it is a really tiny shuttle. Do you think it is good enough?

Hi Phlogios !
Thanx for your offer to help. First, your shuttle mesh is good enough once textured. But (please dont kill me )-we already have a model of a type 6 shuttle. That is no problem, we´ll make another texture and other specs and this will be a fine type 6b. But to save time and dont have double work please contact tillias or me via pm so that we can tell you exactly what is still missing and what not. (A model of the romulan averix type shuttle is still missing, for example).
Best wishes,
Esgaroth

Nice work!!!
Do you think if texturing it?

If you want to practice in texturing, I have a very simply cute ship -- Cardassian "Groumel" starclass. Here it is:

Try to retexture this fully-working 3dModel ( stored in WinRAR archive ):

Finally you will get something like this:

God bless you!

@Tillias: Sure, I'll try to texture your ship and my ship. Maybe I can PM the result later on?

Hi Phlogios !

I am working on the shuttles at the moment, so if you want to see your type 6 shuttle in-game, it might be a good time to send the model (preferably as .obj or as .3ds ) to me via email (atreuter@aol.com).

Hard to answer, as most people will not answer for themselves... I use anim8or for modelling and wings for texturing and this works fine for me... most times. Actually it doesnt matter what program you use... as long as you can export to .obj files...
