Hi!
Due to extension of official ship pack, need help with artwork.
All that I need -- glow maps for starships.
Here are examples of original textures:
Example #1
Example #2
And here is what we call "Glow maps":
Modified #1
Modified #2
In other words we simply paint texture with black color.
Only windows, lights, engines and all other things that must shine shouldn't be painted.
PM me if interested. Very easy to help, though some time needed.

We actually do have a lot more - klingon, romulan, shuttles, civilian, etc. but one can get stuck in just adding more and more ships. What we need is a working dynamic star trek universe (and not max out ships) and that is what we are concentrating on at the moment. If this is done, we can easily add more and more ships. Actually this can then be done by anyone quite easily.Phlogios wrote:
Is that it? No more ships than that? There are hundreds of different ships in Star Trek! I would like to make some Vega Trek ships too!

Don't forget the borg
Anyway, once I get a new computer, I'd be glad to download GIMP and make some glowmaps 'n such. I'd also be glad to help contribute 3D models, but my previous attempts to put some in Vega Strike were.....sketchy at best O_O Still, Vega Trek is an interesting proposition, and I'll be glad to help you guys, if I can get a working Vega Trek build......

That's ok, some of us can't program, so in the meantime, we can just make glowmaps And when you guys find the time, you guys can just put it in!esgaroth wrote:We actually do have a lot more - klingon, romulan, shuttles, civilian, etc. but one can get stuck in just adding more and more ships. Currently we are working on Universe map... We need to prepare current draw of in-game Universe in order to make it more Trekish and to add some new systems.
God bless you!
